Nervixxx is a video performance system which fuses tangible computing and neural computing. Nervixxx uses tangible computing focusing on the users’ fingertips to mix motion graphics data, and apply video effects to the motion graphics. This enables the intuitive control of the system. Also, nervixxx uses neural computing to control parameters for the motion graphics data and the visual effects data, and to generate motion graphics data. Specifically, EMG (electromyogram) is used for the former and EEG (electroencephalogram) is used for the latter. This allows the users not only to solve some limitations which the conventional tangible computing and physical computing performance systems have, but also to achieve unique expression based on the user’s bio signals which are different from each user.
